COVID-19 Update and Information

We have an obligation to keep you, your pets, our staff and our community healthy during the COVID-19 outbreak. Over the past few days we have fielded many inquiries about how we are handling the COVID-19 outbreak at our practice. In order to help prevent the spread of the virus but also continue to care for our patients, we are instituting the following action plan:

Concierge Car-Side Service:

Social distancing is crucial to stopping the spread of this virus. To help with social distancing and decrease the number of people in our hospital at one time, we will no longer be seeing clients in exam rooms.

What this means for you and your pet when visiting our hospital:

When you arrive for your scheduled appointment, please call our office (ph: 828-232-9990). A receptionist will check you in from the car. A technician will walk out to your car, get all the information about your visit that day, and then bring your pet inside the hospital for their exam. After examining your pet, the doctor or technician will call to speak with you about their findings and any recommended treatment. After treatment has been provided for your pet, a staff member will bring your pet back to the car.

Feel free to ask our staff for the option to drop off your pet for the day. 

One exception to car-side service is for our clients in need of our Euthanasia service. For these clients and pets we will absolutely allow you to enter the hospital and you will be escorted to our comfort room. You can take all the time you need in our comfort room.

Payments

We will begin taking most payments over the phone to limit exposure for our front desk personnel. Once your pet’s exam and treatments have been completed, one of our staff will bring out your invoice and go over it with you. If you are paying with a card, our reception staff will take this information over the phone and bring your receipt back out to you if needed. If you need to pay with cash, you may give it to our staff at that time and they will process the transaction for you.

Medication Refills

For all medication refills we request that you call ahead. We will call you when your medication is ready for pick-up and take payment over the phone. Upon arrival, give our hospital a call and a staff member will bring your medication out to you.

Your pet’s health is very important to us. Hopefully, by implementing these government advised measures we can still continue to provide health care to your pet while keeping everyone as safe as possible. We ask for your patience during this uncertain time.
