Proactive pet wellness begins at an early age and continues throughout the life of your companion, involving proper food, dental care, exercise, and early detection of problems in older pets. Our goal is to provide the highest quality veterinary services and products, while helping you create a loving bond with your pet.

Dental care is essential to your pet’s overall health. Left untreated, dental disease can damage the heart, kidneys, and liver. We provide polishing, extractions, and periodontal deep cleaning to promote longer lasting teeth.

Asheville Dog Heartworm Prevention

We’ve all heard the nasty term heartworm, but what exactly is heartworm disease? Heartworm is a parasite that, in adulthood, lives in a dog’s heart and arteries. A dog can acquire a heartworm infection from the bite of a mosquito carrying heartworm larvae from an infected dog or coyote. If there are many worms present, they can clog the arteries, leaving little blood pumped to the dog’s lungs, sometimes resulting in heart failure or death. > Read More

If your pet requires a hospital stay, we’ll strive to make him or her as comfortable as possible and encourage you to visit.

Our new state-of-the-art surgical and monitoring facilities enable us to perform a wide variety of procedures while minimizing risks. In most cases after surgery and recovery, your pet will be released the same day. A doctor or nurse will call with an update on your pet and make arrangements for pick-up. At pick-up you will receive instructions for care at home.

For after-hour emergencies, call (828) 232-9990. We do check messages and if available will promptly return your call. If we are unable to return your call in a timely manner, call R.E.A.C.H. Emergency Care, 677 Brevard Rd., at (828) 665-4399.
